Engaged and looking for a venue? Here are a few things to consider:

!. Guest List :: Before you head out to tour venues, make sure you have an idea of the number of guests you plan on inviting. There is nothing worse than falling in love with a venue that won't work size wise.

2. Budget :: It is important to check out venues that work within your budget range. There are many venues that come with full catering services, and the per person cost for food & bar should considered in your budget. If your venue allows you to bring in your own catering company, make sure you are find out what is included in the site fee.

3. Location :: Does the venue offer a space to host your ceremony on site? If you are planning on gettting married at a different location, how long will it take for your guests to travel to the venue. Also consider how close is the venue to lodging options.

4. Amenities :: What is included in the site fee? Does the venue include tables, chairs, restrooms, linens, kitchen space, tents, dancefloors or are these things you will need to rent? It is a great idea to ask the venue, who they use for a rental company?

5. Space: Does the venue have a space that works with your vision and ideas for decor? Are you able to have a ceremony space, a back up plan that works with your vision, a cocktail space, an outdoor space, reception space or at least choices that you can work with.
